Candles are the most romantic accessory you can add to your home. Light a few candles on tall candlesticks or store them in a cluster and voila, your home gets a dressed-up look. Here are some ways to display light around your house.
Lantern: Candles encased in a glass lantern don’t just have to be for outdoor use. Place candles in lanterns indoors too for a beautiful vintage look. Find a corner and place on the floor to light up a nook.
Glasses: There is something very attractive about light in transparent glasses. Keep a cluster of them on burlap and tie twine around them to create a rustic feel. These look great on console tables or in front of mirrors.
Table: Candles placed in a row on a dining table can make a random everyday meal feel special. Choose high lights or medium. You can choose to have them on a stand or just on the table. Throw some rose petals on the tablecloth for a romantic setting.
Bathtub: When candles are placed in the bathroom, they not only make the area smell heavenly but also make the space look luxurious. Place a tray with rolled towels, flowers and bath accessories.
Scent: To make your own scented candle and add a DIY touch, take equal-sized cinnamon sticks and tie them around a candle. When the candle burns, it will release aromas of cinnamon into your home. Place on a coffee table for maximum effect.
